Larry Flint has produced, written and recorded with a veritable “Who’s Who” of New England’s premier Country and Roots Music Artists, and has received the “Best Album of the Year” Award from the Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association.  Larry has had a long-time musical association with John Lincoln Wright since the early 70’s, as a producer, songwriter, singer, bassist, and guitarist, in addition to their close friendship.

Over the last thirty-some years, Larry has performed with his band and as a solo act, as well as with Country Legend Dick Curless and Rick Robinson.  Larry has also shared stages with the likes of Willie Nelson, Emmy Lou Harris, Townes Van Zandt, Leon Russell, and Jerry Jeff Walker.

Larry sings with a voice that reveals his soul. His music swings with the passion of a western honky-tonk, while his lyrics reflect a New Englander’s no-nonsense directness tinged with a Southern sensibility. Steve Morse of The Boston Globe has compared him to Billy Joe Shaver, while other critics mention John Prine, Townes van Zandt and Willie Nelson.

His band, the Road Scholars, plays at Sally O'Briens in Union Square, Somerville on the third Friday of every month. He also plays locally and tours with Devri playing traditional Irish music.
